"THERE ARE TWO KINDS OF ACTORS"

One comes into the theatre and says, "What's in it for me?" This person sees themselves as the main player in the play and the most important person in any relationship they may have at any given moment. Everything they do is aimed to preserve that status, protect their domain and further their agenda. Whomever doesn't serve their immediate needs, either doesn't exist, or is to be avoided. This person can easily be recognized by the number of times they use the word "I" in a sentence.

"Oh boy! I don't like that first one at all!"

The other kind of actor comes into the theatre and treats it like the holy place that it is and wonders what he or she can do to contribute to their art while still furthering their career, and are always aware that they are part of a bigger plan, imperfect though that plan may be, to make this a better world. This person can easily be recognized by the number of times they use the word "you" in a sentence.
